Ushr is reshaping geospatial data acquisition and the way vehicles use the data. This involves LIDAR and image sensing, geospatial databases, photogrammetry, GNSS positioning, machine vision, machine learning, and embedded system development.

Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the following:

 

Overall Program Management

  • Oversight of the AO/PO work effort meeting schedule
    • Monitor and manage schedule]
    • Estimate and tracking cost budget
    • Staffing ao/po resources
    • Invoices/po related to mapping
  • Quality
    • Validation plans, anomaly resolution, 8 d tracking, validation plan review and signoff
  • General oversight of all Autonomous Driving projects and programs
  • Manage overall program budgeting and tracking actuals
  • Track road acquisition change monitoring / management schedule
  • Manage engineering software development project kickoffs and project deliverables including:
    • Define, monitor and maintain program timing plan  & actual progress status
    • Lead internal and external project reporting
    • Create weekly status reports to customers from internal organization reports
    • Issue/forecast PO’s & invoices promptly and report status to finance
    • Track / Coordinate 8D report execution (Root Cause, Corrective Action & Preventative Action Documentation)
    • Lead internal project team meetings (weekly) with the ability to properly represent 30-60-90 day view of project status and ability to meet schedule
    • Create weekly management report to identify timing/resource issues and mitigation plans
    • Track / manage cost/margin (actuals vs estimates)
    • Support revenue modeling, tracking, forecasting and reporting

 

Degree Level:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (ME, EE) or, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
  • PMP Certification a plus but not required

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of project / software development project/ program manager experience with steadily increasing responsibilities.
  • Ability to lead/manage a software team and coordinate job tasks and deliverables.
  • Familiarity with software development work task planning (agile, waterfall etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft project and other work planning tools/methods
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to multitask and deliver on challenging software development tasks
  • Experience with financial tracking and reporting
  • Experience managing a large projects in the research and production execution stages
  • Proven ability to manage project work plans, track status and report project status to upper management

  • Strong experience working as part of a testing and validation team is a plus.

– Maintain, extend, and optimize software that is part of systems that generate spatial data products related to autonomous driving.
– Maintain, extend, and optimize prototype-level on-vehicle software related to autonomous driving.
– Design and implement software modules for controlling and logging data from specialized hardware devices (e.g., digital cameras, LIDAR scanners, automotive radar sensors, GNSS receivers, inertial measurement units).
– Design and implement unit tests and system-level tests.
– Implement Python extension modules.
– Write application programming interface documentation.
– Participate in software design and review meetings.
– Provide effort estimates for software design and implementation tasks.

Education:
– Bachelor’s or graduate degree in computer science, software engineering, or another technical program that involves advanced programming courses.

Specific skills:
– Detailed knowledge of the C, C++ (including C++11 features), and Python 2.x programming languages.
– Detailed knowledge of the standard template library for C++ and familiarity with Boost libraries.
– Working knowledge of generic programming techniques in C++.
– Working knowledge of multithreading and synchronizations techniques.
– Proficient in English-language technical writing.
– Working knowledge with Scientific Python (SciPy).
